Collaborators

Subhankar Banerjee works closely with conservation and indigenous human-rights organizations to help preserve the ecologically and culturally diverse areas of the American Arctic. His Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and Teshekpuk Lake Wetlands images were used extensively by members of the United States Senate and House of Representatives, environmental and indigenous human-rights organizations in preventing legislation that would allow oil drilling on these sensitive areas. Banerjee collaborates closely with members of the following organizations.

NORTHERN ALASKA ENVIRONMENTAL CENTER The Northern Alaska Environmental Center promotes conservation of the environment in Interior and Arctic Alaska through advocacy, education, and sustainable resource stewardship.

AUDUBON ALASKA Audubon Alaska is the Alaska State Office of the National Audubon Society. The mission of Audubon Alaska is to conserve Alaska's natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife and their habitats, for the benefit and enjoyment of current and future generations.

MANOMET Center for Conservation Sciences  As one of the nation's oldest independent environmental research organizations, Manomet conducts original research on natural systems and wildlife.  They use their science to bring people together and guide them in the development of practical strategies that improve conditions for wildlife, habitats, and people. Manomet scientist Dr. Stephen Brown and his team have done extensive research on birds of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

ARTISTS OF THE ARCTIC REFUGE  An organization presenting work of art that was either made in the refuge or was inspired by the land of the refuge.
